I am a mother of two grown children and have been working as a professional nanny since 2003. Before becoming a nanny, I worked in the Surry County School System as a substitute teacher for Prek through 8th grade and special needs classes for five years. Also during this time I was a remedial tutor for at risk children in fourth grade.
During all these years, I have continued to increase my skills and education by getting trainings/certifications in the infant/toddler fields. I am a Certified Professional Nanny, Certified Newborn Care Specialist,
I have Postpartum Doula Training through CAPPA and I am a member of CAPPA(Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association)
I have my N.C. Early Childhood Credentials one and two, Assistant Teacher Certification, Effective Teacher training, Basic Sign Language, Child Development one and two, FirstAid and Infant,Child,Adult CPR, Developmentally Appropriate Practices, Infant/Toddler Foundations and several more certificates we can talk about later.
